Italian Pinot Grigio Duca Di Castelmonte Notorius Grillo 2006 is produced from Pinot Grigio grapes harvested in Marsala, North West Sicily in Italy. With a bright yellow color and a floral aroma with hints of vanilla, this Italian Pinot Grigio provides rich and harmonious herb and mineral notes, and a touch of vanilla on the palate. The grape variety Grillo is unique to the Island of Sicily and is a perfect accompaniment to their wonderful seafood. It also goes well with mature cheeses. Recommended serving temperature is a cool 10 - 12° Celsius. Drink now through the end of 2009.

The Pellegrino company was founded in Marsala in 1880. The family estate stretches for more than 300 hectares in the prime area of western Sicily, with its rich soils, micro-climates, and vines. Today it is one of the leading Sicilian companies for the production of Grillo, Marsala and table wines under the Duca di Castelmonte label. Since its inception, the founding Pellegrino family members have been instrumental in making sure that the company follows thousand year-old wine making traditions.
