Dolcetto Wine Gagliardo Dolcetto D'Alba 2005 is an extremely popular sweet wine from Italy. While Dolcetto is considered the perfect summer red wine, it is also a great everyday wine.
This Gagliardo Dolcetto is from the Barolo zone, specifically from the vineyards in the La Morra and Montelupo subzones. Dolcetto is known as the everyday wine of the Piemontese. It has a bright ruby red hue with loads of fresh fruit flavors,
paired with good acidity and soft tannins. It has sweet, dazzlingly ripe cherry and fresh raspberry flavors. Fresh and complex with notes of violets that offers a delicate perfume, while touches of spices and white pepper follow on the finish. It will match beautifully with your favorite lighter foods or just to sip on a glass.

"In the hot days of the year, I recommend serving Dolcettos a little chilled, which brightens the fruit and tones down the grip. This wine's color is a vibrant deep red with a strong purple hue. The aroma is of dark cherry, intense with spice and pepper. The taste is grippy and chock-full of flavor with a good, medium-bodied structure in the finish. It's a lovely little wine."
