Spanish Wine Rento 2003 from Ribera del Duero has a deep blackberry color with significant purple tones. This fine spanish wine has a full red robe that is clean and bright. Rento 2003 Spanish wine has wide aromas that are very complex and dominated by ripe black fruit such as morello cherry, blackberry and plum, together with aged aromas of cedar and ebony woods, spiced cloves, vanilla, leather, liquorice and roasted coffee. Rento 2003 provides a wide and elegant structure that is dense, full-bodied and powerful, yet with remarkably tamed robust tannins. In the mouth is where this Ribera del Duero red wine really stands out. Rento 2003 is complex, with a set of fruity sensations, spices and new wood with a long and persistent finish. Produced from Ribera del Duero Tempranillo grapes selected from vines that are older than 25 years, this red Spanish red wine stands out for its excellent personality that goes great with red meats, game and strong cheeses. Drink now through 2016.

Bodegas Renacimiento de Olivares produces Rento in their winery that is located in a noble house built in the sixteenth century by the Marquis de Olivares, and it is located in the town of Valladolid. Rento winery has become a building with a great brick vault and between 1.5m and 2m thick walls that contribute to produce the best conditions for producing wine. It has a small barrel cellar with American and French oak barrels. With only 100 new French and American oak barrels that are ideal for the development and aging of Rento, only 16,000 bottles are produced during top vintages. The winery does not have pumps, centrifuges or engines to power equipment. Every process is manual and takes dedicated craftsmen to care for the grapes and wine. Winery Renacimiento has been included within the Designation of Origin Ribera del Duero as a winery of fine wines. It uses stainless steel tanks and every year 50 new American and French oak barrels are brough it to continue the production of one great red with selected grapes solely hand-picked from the high terroir area of Pago de las Solanas in Olivares de Duero. Rento has a 25 year old 10 hectares plot in Olivares de Duero, Valladolid with wire-trained vines of Tempranillo variety. The soils are deep limestone-clay, slightly inclined toward the Duero River. These vineyards are cultivated in a continental climate of drastic temperature changes between seasons and strong variations from the day to the night. All perfect conditions for this perfect red wine.

RATINGS: 91 Points - Wine Spectator
"This exuberant red shows blackberry and blueberry flavors accompanied by toasted almond and vanilla from oak. The tannins are well-integrated, the acidity lively. Sweet floral notes linger on the finish. Drink now through 2012."
