Petite Sirah Wines are made with the Petite Sirah grape and while originally grown in Australia, it has found its way to many of the world's best wine regions. Petite Sirah wine is rich and dark full bodied wine that can be somewhat peppery, with a lavish texture and ripe fruit flavors. Sirah wine's give good mouth feel and balance. They are slightly low in acid and have a fairly long and pleasant finish. Syrah wine can also be faintly bitter, but not to intense. It is delicious with goose, duck, game stews, and more highly flavored exotic meats like lamb, elk, bear, boar, caribou and moose.
