Viognier Wines are produced with the Viognier grape. Significant amounts of lands are devoted to the Viognier grapes. Viognier wines are well-known for their floral aromas such as honeysuckle, citrus blossoms, oriental lychee nuts, ripe white melon, peaches and apricots, and ripe pears just after they've been peeled. It suggests a sweet wine but Viognier wines are predominantly dry and have low acidity. The highly aromatic and forward fruit nature of the grape allows Viognier to pair well with spicy foods. For those who haven't experienced them yet, the first glass is quite a discovery.
