Oregon Wines have evolved to world-class wines. Oregon wine country includes 15 wine growing regions and more than 300 wineries producing wine from 72 grape varieties. Oregon wine notoriety has evolved through their Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. These are just a few of the 40 varietals of wine grapes grown throughout Oregon state. Focused on producing small-batch artisan wine, most Oregon wineries are relatively small. They produce boutique wines that are usually described by wine enthusiasts as having great mouth feel and silky texture, with the perfect balance of fruit and tannins.
